What do you do when your team is playing Thursday night but you have a run scheduled? You pack an extra mile on the day before, take one (or 2) miles off today, catch an early bus home, and hustle that run before kickoff.
I like watching football at home and using it as my time to do core and stretching. I try to imagine I'm working out like the pros. It's ridiculous. I like to think my energy is channeling to the team somehow. Also, those muscles you guys, woah.
All the runs this week have been on the treadmill and I'm not really mad about it. It has been getting darker, my motivation has been a little low, and I've wanted to take it easier on the legs a bit. Last week after my sprint-y 5k I felt like maybe I pushed it a bit too far. Things are still feeling a bit wonky in my left quad, so I took tonight down from 3 miles to 2.
10/21: 5 miles, 43:41, 8:43 avg pace
10/22: 2 miles, 17:17, 8:38 avg pace
Now here's hoping for a WIN tonight. #gohawks
